Hi my name is Ashley and i've been doing MMA Krav Maga for nearly 5 years now.

Ive always been obsessed with martial arts from a young age, I started off doing karate but soon grew bored of it. In my teens I found Aikido,it really helped me out with my movement and the basic fundamentals in martial arts. After a few years I started loosing weight and started to become a bit complacent. This then sent me on my quest to find a complete martial art.

Next on the list was wing Chun kung fu I have always been a fan of Bruce Lee so I thought why not try the same martial art that he started with. I took some great knowledge from wing chun regarding parrying, moving forward, closing distance and reaction speed, but yet again found for me there was something missing.

As I grew older slimmer, stronger and more flexible I eventually studied the art of running away (also known as free running or parkour) a lot of people will see it as a extreme sport but its actually a lot more like a martial art especially the discipline side of it! You don't start by jumping off the biggest building you can find. It takes years of training on mats in a gym and years of conditioning your body to take the impact you get on the street. Just like a martial art. So now I could run up walls like a ninja I though it would best suit me to be able to fight like one too, so on to the next martial art on my list Ninjutsu.

Now I did get some really good experience from doing this, mainly that not all instructors are created equal which really helped me in my journey of understanding.

So still curious of what to go for next, I saw an article in the news paper that was talking about Krav Maga.

I found Ricky the head instructor of MMA Krav Maga was doing a class at a sports ground in Chigwell so I decided to go have a look. Within in 30 seconds of meeting Rick and seeing the class I new this was for me, that was nearly 5 years ago and I haven't looked back since.

I am completely obsessed with MMA Krav Maga in my opinion its hands down the most complete all round up to date self defence system. No stone is left unturned and techniques are always adapting and changing and evolving the system.

The Krav Maga element offers a no holds barred do what ever is necessary self defence approach. No rules, no referee just survival, but mixed With MMA you learn disciplines like boxing, muai thai, kickboxing, judo ,wrestling, jujitsu.

The classes have the friendliest atmosphere and you'll have everyones respect the second you step on the mat. You'll get a confidence like no other and make some life long friends. Even for fitness you can get a damn good workout, learn some amazing skills along the way and have fun whilst doing it!

I really cant recommend these classes enough. If you would be interested in private one on one or group sessions and also MMA conditioning then please get in touch.

Hope to see you soon.
